Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to fabricate and assemble metal structures according to blueprints, specifications, and industry standards. The Structural Welder will primarily focus on welding structural components such as beams, columns, and plates, ensuring the highest quality and integrity of the welded joints.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform welding operations on structural components, including beams, columns, and plates, using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
3. Prepare, clean, and set up welding materials and equipment including welding machines, torches, clamps, and jigs.
4. Conduct welding inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
5. Monitor and maintain welding supplies and equipment inventory to ensure availability and functionality.
6. Adhere to all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations while operating welding equipment and tools.
7. Collaborate with other team members, such as fabricators and welders, to complete projects within given timelines.
8. Maintain accurate welding records, including welder logs, inspection reports, and material usage records.
9. Perform routine maintenance and repair of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
10. Stay updated with advancements in welding techniques, equipment, and safety practices through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
2. Certified Welder with a valid welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent).
3. Minimum of [X] years of experience in structural welding.
4. Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
5. Strong knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints, and specifications.
6. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and sketches.
